Hello all,
There are new things on Original Multiples. Some are in scant quantities (1 or 2) and some in larger quantities ("infinite").
That's what happens when you ask good artists to make clever things of or about copies.
But first, a thank you to each of you for putting your name and address in our hat and taking a ticket for the OM adventure.
We appreciate your support dearly.
EDITIONS (Pictures and prices and links to other things are all on originalmultiples.com)
Jeremy Taylor (former gallery owner, full-time art teacher, member of Team Lump) has made two sets of ten prints but only given us 2 or 3 copies each. But we snagged the two-color test-prints and have those at a lower price, since they've got fewer colors. All-natural screenprint inks, hand-made walnut ink, nice paper, totally beautiful tiny art for SPRING.
Greg Antrim Kelly spent the day at the copy shop mis-matching photos paper and color xerox machines and the large cutting tables to manufacture true-to-life editions of five delicate/violent character studies from his upcoming book Pigeon. They're beautiful things and only five dollars each, post-paid. We would like you to order them for other people as gifts. If you do the paypal thing, just send us an email or use our contact form to let us know to whom/where they should be sent. Note: they are not 8.5x11 as originally advertised but something closer to 6x9.
There are sixteen of twenty one-off prints by Dustin Hostetler remaining. A drawing of a hand and pen, printed twenty times on orange paper, each trailing a phrase in cursive from the artist's hand making each a one of a kind. Dustin is smart about this Original Multiples business.
Finally, we have two prints by David Eliis, founder of The Barnstormers. They're beautiful prints that one would have wound up at Pictures on Walls (thereby selling out in minutes) if David weren't an integral and majestically supportive force for Original Multiples. We have them. No one else does. Most people don't know they exist. Which allows us all to be a little calmer and more patient.
Which is, some might say, what art is good for.
All our best,
Original Multiples
